Inspired by Monkshood and her thoughts on Ginny and Harry's relationship - or lack thereof (hopefully): What are ten things you "demand" that JKR put in or leave out of Deathly Hallows? This isn't so much about theories, as a list of things you'd just love to see or not see - humorous or serious. The Snorkack is real? Harry finally apologizes to Snape? Snape tells Harry everything about everything? Mrs. Weasley goes "sabre-tooth" on someone? Tonks dies? Lupin has another soliloquy like the Shrieking Shack? We see Lily's childhood pictures with Petunia? Vernon gets turned into a Walrus and has to chew clams in cold arctic seas the rest of his life? So if you could tell JKR your "demands" for Book Seven, they would be . . . And please use list form with limited chat - at least, do your best!

You know, I think the book might be done now... All I want is the back story....don't care if Harry, Ron and Hermione bite the dust if it doesn't have to do with the backstory. I WANT THE DETAILS....THE LURID EVIL HORRIBLE HEART WRENCHING DETAILS. I need a good night's sleep.

- Give us an answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. You know which question I'm talking about.
 - Ron and Hermione finally get together. PLEASE. We've been waiting ages.
- Harry lives.
- Don't kill off one twin. That's just cruel.
- Voldemort dies.
- We get ALL the backstory on Severus
- Anything to add about James?
- Remus is growing, slowly but surely. Keep it up.
- Neville lives, and does it happily.
- If he's good, pretty please let Snape live?
#11 And they all live happily ever after.

Monkshood's Ten Demandments for Book 7 1. Ye shall write one chapter from Snape's Point of View. 2. Ye shall not include Ginny in the trio's quest for Horcruxes. The obnoxious red-head shall stay at home and she shall suffer the fate of a thousand bat-bogey hexes if she attempts to escape. 3. Long years have you forced your fans to wait and ye shall repay them with a 1,000 pages of answers. 4. No longer allow the sins of bad art to tarnish your work and ask for forgiveness from Snape fans who have suffered Grandpre's illustrations of the Billowy One. 5. Ye shall not make false idols of the Marauders, but let the tired, gray haired one break free from his chains of insecurity and fear of displeasing others. 6. Know that Snape has a Bat-Spider-Dragon-Unicorn-Quintaped-Augurey-Phoenix-Potted Lily Patronus and make sure that Grandpre draws it right. 7. Ye shall not kill off the Billowy One nor the Boy Who Lived. Neither must die nor escape the other's verbal wit. 8. Observe the talents of one Molly Weasley and shower her with the good fortune to start her own restaurant. 9. Ye shall reveal the mysterious blond DE to be the newly revamped 007 wizard, Daniel Craig, one of Dumbledore's spies against Voldemort. 10. Fulfill all of Monkshood's tinfoil hat theories and ye shall be rewarded with the riches of heaven and eternal happiness.

Lots of redundancy, but here goes:
1) Snape survives. 2) Harry survives. 3) Snape's life story!!!! 4) No quidditch! 5) What's the secret about Petunia? 6) Why is the marital status/history of the teachers important? 7) What's important about Lily's eyes? 8 ) Snape and Harry come to an understanding. 9) Molly gets to do more than knit, yell and cry. 10) Snape gets his Order of Merlin, First Class.

1. Instead of going to auror academy, Harry becomes Snape's protege and develops into an even more DADA-kick a** wizard. And he can play Quidditch on the side.
2. Snape lives (obviously).
3. We get the whole entire frickin back-story. Everything AND the kitchen sink.
4. Ron and Hermione finally get together. And if they are camping out on their search for a horcrux, Ron could spend every night in Hermione's tent instead of the one he's supposed to be sharing with Harry. Not because I condone that sort of behavior in teenagers (albeit 'of age' teens), but just to stick it to everyone who petitioned JKR to change her story. Can you believe it? Making demands on a great author like that? Riddikulus!
5. Everything everyone's said about Lupin so far? Yeah, me too.
6. Ginny grows up a little. And she realizes her trigger-happy wand is an after-effect of being possessed by Voldemort...she didn't want to be a victim anymore, but she went about it in the wrong way.
7. None of the trio can die. Nor Ginny (because I want Harry to be happy, and Ginny's a new, mature girl in this book). Nor Lupin nor Tonks nor Neville nor Snape (he already got his own number there, but it can't be said enough).
8. Ron matures, gets confidence, and does something brave and heroic, but doesn't die, although he'd be willing to die to save others. But he's still Ron-like and says thing everyone else is thinking, but are too afraid or socially-conscious to say.
9. Harry grieves for his parents; he also grieves for the still-living Snape, because Harry begins to understand the pain and regret Snape has always carried for Lily, for James, and for Harry himself. Harry sees how much Snape has given of himself to fight Voldemort, and to keep Harry safe.
10. Snape believes he can never rectify his mistake. Nothing he can do can bring back Lily and James. But when Harry begins to understand and forgives Snape, even though Snape never wanted Harry's forgiveness...healing begins. For both of them.

1. Now don't anybody hurt me or delete my membership in this forum or anything....but, if Lily is truly dead, then I want Snape to go through the Field of Asphodel to be with her....and (I'm sorry, really) DIE....'cause that's the only way he'll be happy (to Hades with Harry ) Then again, if Lily was/is really good, she'll insist Snape return to the world of the living to continue protecting Harry and develop a real "Dad" relationship with the kid. (I think I'm going to go throw up now. ) 2. I want Draco to join forces with Harry etal. 3. I want Ginny gone (not dead, just gone) and I want Harry to "see" Luna. 4. One twin must die. 5. The true character of the Marauders needs to be put forth for their masses of hero worshippers. 6. Bellatrix must meet Neville and lose painfully. 7. The missing 24 hours must be explained. 8. Florence ('nuf said) 9. Neville must become a non-cursed DADA teacher. 10. Nitwit, Oddment, Blubber, Tweak, Thank You. (Please please explain!)

1. Backstory on Godric's Hollow and why Dumbledore trusted Snape..
2. Backstory on Marauders, especially on the Werewolf Incident and how that affected their interrelationships and what, if anything, Dumbledore said or did to Sirius about his nefarious plot.
3. More background on Snape--his family, his friends at Hogwarts, Lily.
4. Draco aids in bringing Slytherin in line with the other Hogwarts Houses to fight against Voldemort.
5. Both twins survive or neither.
6. Please, how exactly do life-debts work? How do you know when you owe one? Aside from Harry/Wormtail, are there any other such debts in the "present"?
7. Harry finally understands all Snape has done for him and Snape's allegiances are fully explained and rewarded ('cause you know they're good allegiances).
8. Voldemort and Bellatrix: toast. And Lucius, probably. But the other two are non-negotiable.
9. Details on what exactly happened on (and beside, and possibly before) the Astronomy Tower in HBP.
10. At the end we have Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, one big happy family, thank you very much.

OK, here are mine:
1. The Snape and Lily relationship - what was it? Tell all, in detail, and make it clear enough for even Harry to understand.
2. Dumbledore vindicated in his TRUST for Snape, so that people will stop thinking of Dumbledore as the "manipulating puppetmaster" or "weak old fool." Squelch the "Dumbledore was Stupid" theory forever and let people know that he and Snape were working together on the same side.
3. Marauders backstory - why did they pick on Snape? Make it clear that being a bully isn't "heroic," and that no one should be picked on due to a larger than average nose or long hair. If you don't, you will be hearing from me and alot of other fans in spades.
4. More Luna and less Ginny - I beg you! Let Luna tell Harry alot of "uncomfortable truths" about Snape and himself - and make that boy listen to her!!!
5. Give us "Head Boy James" on a platter - how did he become Head Boy? Did he deserve to have that honor and then win Lily's respect? Did he really "reform" or was it all a facade, helped along by his best friends?
6. Give us werewolves and plenty of them! Show us the nitty-gritty about Lupin's spying and those children raised by Fenrir Greyback. Make Fenrir die an amazingly appropriate and painful death.
7. Give Neville a scene to show his true power to Voldemort and Bella, and make them shake with fear of him.
8. Stop waffling and us these "alleged" Good Slytherins!!! Who are they? Where are they?
9. Honor Lily by showing us more woman-power. Let Molly channel her fiery temper into battle - Show us the good side of Petunia - Let Trelawney stand up to someone else the way she did to Umbridge - Let Hermione kick some major butt, or at least bean-brain Dolohov with Hogwarts, A History.
10. Let Harry learn that all those Potions Classes were not a waste of time, and that healing is the highest goal instead of fighting. To become an Auror would mean taking orders from the Ministry of Magic forever. Would he rather be Snape or Dawlish?

I was amazed it took 9 posts before anybody mentioned my secret love, Dumbledore! (I wish I could understand my absolute devotion to him). I can't say as I can enumerate particulars, sorry. I do want to snort in laughter like I did through most of the books. I love her dialogue scenes. I agree Gwarp and spiders can be missed happily. I love everything SIP wrote and agree totally, as a matter of fact everyone has great demands. I want to know everyone's patronus. I want to know Snape's method of fighting Dementors. I want dragons, house elves, giants, unicorns, merpeople, et al. to all be recognized and honored. I want Dobby to have followed Snape and Draco. I want a house elf rebellion. Petunia has to have back story that mitigates some of her behavior.l OH! I KNOW! Introduce a new character named Touchstone!

It seems we have many wishes in common..... 1. Snape survives. So does Harry. No getting off easy, they have to learn to deal with each other. 2. Voldy eats it. He's just too evil and too annoying to make it. AND it won't be stupid how "love" defeats him. 3. Harry et. all have to go back to Hogwarts, if only for research/advice from either a Pensieve or the newest portrait....or both. I could deal with that. 4. I actually LIKE Ginny, thank you. Though I agree, she doesn't need to tag along on the Great Horcrux Hunt, three's plenty there. Unless Ron and Hermione make things awkward....Leading me to... 5. Ron/Hermione. Full-on snog. No more of this hugging crap. (I'm not even a shipper, and I thought that was lame!) 6. The Marauders are proven to be the twits they were, and Peter, after fulfilling his life debt, dies. Hopefully in a nasty way. (Maybe he'll get Hannibal'd by Fenrir as he Temple of Dooms the fuzzball? (Bonus points to people who understand that!)) However, Lupin will continue to grow a spine and be less of a twit. 7. The little teaser questions Jo tosses at us are answered. WHY did Dumbles have the Invisibility Cloak? WHY are Lily's eyes so important? WHO the crap was/is R.A.B.? WHO loved Snape? 8. Snape/Bella duel. Freaking. YEAH. 9. Lots of witty dialogue, despite the dark title, premise, etc. 10. The epilogue that was promised, describing what all happens to everyone, will include LOTS OF HAPPY ENDINGS AND HUGS!!!

1. SNAPE IS GOOD. Dead or alive, but good. And Dumbledore was right. 2. All about Lily and James, and Godric's Hollow. After seven years, Harry can finally ask some basic questions. 3. Some family details. Petunia, the Evanses, the Potters, and why there are no grandparents in the HP world, except for Granny Longbottom. 4. Justice to the Marauders. No saint James, no saint Remus, and debts paid to the bullied ones. 5. Snape and Neville together against Bella. But please, let the boy finish it. 6. Luna shows to the morons her true quality. 7. No pathetic love stories, snogging and such teenage problems. War, battles and full of action. PLEASE. 8. Some deaths are welcome, also on the good side. And well described, to make us suffer. (Yes, I'm sadistic). 9. McGonagall the new Headmistress. For years. 10. Good Slytherins. GOOD, GOOD Slytherins. Have you heard, Jo???
